Currently I'm working on some tool for synchronizing folders with Google Docs and Zoho. I think this tool will work also under Mac OS ;-)
I'm not sure if this new tool will be distributed under LGPL, but it will be free [at least in basic version :-)].
I have crisis of believe in LGPL because last week some "ugly" people started "business" with selling my plug-in to widely known and used in Poland instant messanger Gadu-Gadu. My plug-in called Gadacz [it's simple tool which connect IM with speech synthesizer] was sell without my permission, additionally those people was selling it via SMS, and theirs customers was sure that they will pay only 1.22 PLN [0.36 USD] but truly SMS cost 23.18 PLN [6.85 USD].
Very unpleasant situation.
I distributed Gadacz for free on my own license, but some people suggested that it is on LGPL and suggested that with LGPL someone may took my work, and start to sell it without any changes and my permission.

OpenOffice.org2GoogleDocs and Apple - first try ;-)
Eventually I know why OOo2GD doesn't work on MacOS.
OpenOffice.org for Mac OS is 32 bit application, Apple Java 6.0 for Mac OS 10.5 is 64 bit application. It looks that on Mac OS, exactly the same like on Windows, 32 bit applications cannot use 64 bit Java. Because of this even if OpenOffice.org pointed to Apple Java 6.0 it was truly using Java 5.0 and OOo2GD wasn't able to work.
I compiled some special version [without some features] for Java 5.0 and this version was able to run on Mac OS 10.5 [I have screenshots :-)]

For now this version isn't perfect.
Download doesn't work [but files are downloaded and written on disk, OOo2GD cannot open those files in OpenOffice.org and hangs OO.org ;-)], on some system also upload doesn't work.
Changing of interface language doesn't work, whatever you choose it will be always English ;-)
Some fonts looks strange.
Buttons "Open in Browser" and "Open via Browser" doesn't work [the same as links for my pages ;-)] because of using Java 5.
I still don't know what I will do with version for MacOS, but most probable for now is that I will prepare some special Java 5 version of AddOn [I hope I will be able to keep as many features as possible].

OOo2GD 1.5.0 - we can download spreadsheets :-)
The recent changes in Google Docs API give us oportunity to perform fully supported downloading from Google Docs. Thanks to this from version 1.5.0 OOo2GD supports downloading of documents, presentations and [tada!!] spreadsheets :-)
Downloading will work for regular Google Docs accounts as for Google Apps accounts.
Changes in 1.5.0:
Download :-)
As shows results of survey, most of OOo2GD users [94%] uses it mainly to work with Google Docs.

For now I try to find out a way to add support for MacOS... Apple want to be original and they had theirs own Java, and for now OOo2GD don't work with MacOS.
I'm thinking also about some new features, one of those features is automagic synchronization, but for now it's only idea ;-)

Downloading will work for regular Google Docs accounts as for Google Apps accounts.
Changes in 1.5.0:
- downloading of spreadsheets/li>
- downloading from Google Apps accounts
- change of directory to download files, it was temporary directory, from now it will be user directory
- automagic renaming of file names, if in directory where file is downloaded we have file with the same name, we will save our downloaded file under other name
- next changes in "thread model" of OOo2GD, thanks to this we should finally eliminate "no object DCH for MIME type application/atom+xml"

Problem was caused by the fact that in some cases Swing EDT thread might be started with "wrong" ClassLoader, and wasn't able to access libraries needed to contact with Google Docs. This version should fix this problem.
